Great web visualisations at FOSS4G 2013 mentioned in Wired

I was involved in this year's FOSS4G conference in Nottingham, and will write a more substantial piece for that for my BtOR later. For now I wanted to share with you the fact that the conference's Map Gallery was mentioned on the website of WIRED (http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2013/09/foss4g-map-contest/), the popular US magazine that reports on how emerging technologies affect culture, the economy and politics.

The Dutch open data policy has yield useful results

PDOK Products and Services have been created and published unlocking spatial data from the Dutch Government. The data is available as a web service or as a downloadable file opening the door to the development of pretty interesting applications.
