Information about the Sustainable Development Goals are often presented at a global scale. Since many use online web mapping tools like Tableau, Carto or ARCGIS online these map appear in the Mercator projection. It is know that this projection is not very suitable for global comparions.

To be able to globally compare SDG indicator data a combination of the map projection and the map type suitable for the character of the indicators, as well as the ‘local’ viewpoint all matter.

This research aims at design and implementing an interactive map projection environment. A first goal is to define the functionality of such environment based on a set of basic projections and indicators. After implementation an evaluation will inform about the effectiveness of the solution proposed.
