You do not need fancy electronic tools to visualise space-time data: xkcd shows us how to do it using pen and paper, in a useful and useable way. For the legible version see http://xkcd.com/657/large/

...and funny: did you see the movie "12 angry men"...? Possibly many of you (the older ones ;-) Did you see "Primer"...? Not many of you I'd guess, but do try to get hold of it (or just Wikipedia it to understand the graph).

Here is an update on the EO2HEAVEN project, on the occasion of a work meeting, currently held in Amsterdam at the premises of KIT. Here we are producing web services for the analysis of health parameters in combination with environmental data. A short overview of the project has been published recently in ITC news, see http://issuu.com/itc-utwente/docs/itcnews-2011-4/9?mode=window.

EO2HEAVEN is a research project co-funded by the European Commission as part of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) Environmental (Including Climate Change) theme. It started on 1st February 2010 and the duration of the project is three years with a funding of more than Euro 6 million.

GIP participates in this project by building WPS services for raster processing based on ILWIS software and disseminating GEONETCast satellite imagery. Further, GIP is in charge of the training components of the project by organizing workshops and creating an e-learning platform.
