Love for work@home in times of crisis, episode # 7

My working facilities at home are not a problem for regular work. Over time, behind this desk many maps and words have been designed and written. Working from home is not a strange feeling since I recently spent about three months of my sabbatical in this room, but with far less skype meetings. To satisfy my step-counter on my watch I try to go out for a run every day.

My only problem is to find a suitable location in this room for recording mini lectures. This for a proper background, but even more important: light conditions. I recorded quite a few and then discovered the bad lightning…. I had to re-record them in the morning.

workplace

After three days jumping from the bedroom to the dining table, and to the couch. I decided to move my desk to the living room by the window. I have a very nice view from there. See the 'hills' in the back? Those are the 'highlands' across the border in Germany.

It has been difficult to adapt to work from home. Not that I did not do it before. On the contrary, I do it all the time, as probably many of you do. However, some people prefer the rigid and sometimes plain look of the office. I might be one of those. Let's see how long my new setup will last.

I hope you all found your ideal place to work@home by now!
