Understanding Network Complexity from Open Street Maps
Objective:
Keywords:
Description:
Transport network can be understood from network science perspective, e.g., focusing on the topology, complexity, and resilience of the network. The project aims to develop a suite of indicators to describe and visualize network properties of the transport network. OpenStreetMap has become a major source of free and publicly available maps of the world through crowdsourcing. Therefore, this project will utilize OpenStreetMap as a case study to implement the algorithms above. Lastly, the project will also involve with projecting future transport network with the developed indicators.
